For all shooting matches, here is how to enter:

  • All times are Eastern time.

  • For Wednesday and Friday night shoots the closed match starts at 8pm, and boards are accepted at 5pm.

  • For Sunday shoots, boards are accepted several hours before the closed shoot begins. Typically boards are accepted at 10am, and the closed shoot begins at 2pm.

  • Prizes depend on the shoot and number of entries. The more boards/rounds, the more winning choices.

  • Any gun that can shoot shells that are 2 3/4 inch are allowed.

  • Choose a board that is provided near the entry table.

  • Using a utility knife, make one vertical cut and one horizontal cut to make a target center. Deeper and longer cuts allow us to see the center better when judging. Multiple close cuts will be rejected, and you will have to make a new board.

  • Make a second if you would like a chance for a half-pot prize.

  • Place your name and how many shots you would like on the front of the board.

  • For all shoots, shots are $2 each, and you can buy 6, 8, or 10 shots per board.

  • Half-pot is an extra $1.

  • Take your boards to the entry table to pay for each. Make sure each board is stamped as paid, along with which is your half-pot center.

  • Once paid for, move down the line, where you will see round cards.

  • Choose what round you would like to enter, along with which post, and ask to be placed there. Scrap paper is provided to write down your rounds and posts.

  • Pay attention to the round counter and announcer during the match for when you are up to shoot.

  • After shooting, your board will be judged and given back to you from the shoot judging room.

  • If your board is in contention for a choice you will be listed on the screen outside the shoot room. This ranking is updated as each board is judged round by round.

  • Distance to the target is 46.5 yards.

  • Shooting stands are allowed for the shotguns. Any stand that is easily moved is acceptable. Table/platform stands that are within certain dimensions are allowed, but you would have to shoot on consecutive rounds, rather than skipping rounds. We also have generic stands available to use. Just ask if you need one. Any of the line watchers (orange vests) will be able to get you one.

  • Kitchen and bar are typically open at all shooting matches.

  • Thanksgiving Eve shoot boards are taken at the shooting match the week before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving Eve. That event is our largest of the year.
